Eco Schools & Forest Schools

The Eco team is proud of beginning our Eco school journey at Weston.

The team have created a site on the village playing fields and have more recently been given land upon which to build our own forest school. We strive to ensure sustainability is embedded at the heart of the curriculum. Eco team members regularly hold meetings and lead assemblies in order to share ideas and promote good practice surrounding all nine areas of the Eco schools agenda.

Tips, related to sustainability, which promote and raise the profile of projects such as Operation Christmas Child, Christian Aid or Energy, Healthy or Recycling Week, are advertised through the weekly newsletter. We hope these small actions will ripple outwards raising awareness of the importance of sustainability, and effect a change in the community both locally and further afield.
